Ranchi: Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren who was allegedly claimed ‘missing’ by the Bharatiya Janat Party’s leaders conducted two meetings with ruling alliance legislators at his residence in Ranchi today.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is investigating Jharkhand chief minister in an alleged land scam case. And he has to appear before the agency. But, as he reportedly left for Delhi, BJP leaders and media organizations claimed that the CM went missing.

But today around 2 pm, Jharkhand CM’s official Twitter handle tweeted that the ruling alliance’s ministers and MLAs’ meeting began at his residence and soon it was retweeted by the personal handle of Hemant Soren.

Since the last two days, local news channels and BJP leaders including state president Babulal Marandi and Godda MP Nishikant Dubey tweeted that the chief minister is missing. Marandi even posted a picture which declared a reward of Rs 11000 to the people who will find out the whereabouts of Soren.

After one and half hour, the personal handle of the Jharkhand chief minister shared another two pictures of ruling alliance legislators along with him and paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi’s statue on his death anniversary. The tweet read, “Bapu Ke Vichar Hamey Hamesha Parerna Dete Rahenge. Ladey Hain, Ladenge, Jeete Hain, Jeetenge (Bapu, your ideology will always inspire us. We have fought, we will fight. We have won and we will win.)”

In the evening, Hemant Soren’s personal handle tweeted another picture of his meeting with the ruling alliance’s minister and MLAs meeting at his residence.

An aggressive Jharkhand Mukti Morcha hold press conference in state capital and its spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya not only claimed that the party would file a criminal case against Babulal Marandi but also raised a finger on Raj Bhavan. “The way Raj Bhavan (Governor CP Radhakrishnan) is talking, which panic situation do you want to create? The Home Ministry is asking, but where is the law and order issue?” Bhattacharya questioned.

He further said, “Chief Minister is not just an individual but an institution and it is an insult to the constitutional position to announce the reward. It is a case under section 499 CRPC and JMM will file a criminal case against Babulal Marandi.

“Hemant Soren is neither Nitish Kumar nor Himanta Biswa Sarma nor Ajit Pawar, he is the son of Veer Shibu Soren,” claimed the JMM spokesperson.

Sources said, Hemant Soren will appear before ED at his residence tomorrow at 1 pm.
