CPIML’s Battle Cry for Koderma Lok Sabha Seat in 2024
On the occasion of Mahendra Singh Martyrdom Day, Dipankar Bhattacharya said: We have conveyed to INDIA block leaders that if they want to win the Koderma seat, they should give it to CPIML
Bagodar (Giridih): Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist), which is a strong claimant for the Koderma Lok Sabha seat in INDIA block has not only put forth its claim for the seat but also started the party’s campaign for the Lok Sabha election 2024 by holding a 15-day long yatra.
CPIML’s general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya speaking during the 19th Martyrdom Day event of comrade Mahendra Singh said, “If seat sharing takes place in a proper way, INDIA will defeat BJP. And to avoid repeating mistakes that were committed in 2019 (during General Election and Assembly polls). Back then JVM was made part of the gathbandhan, but after winning its leader Babulal Marandi joined BJP.”
“We have conveyed to INDIA block leaders that if they want to win the Koderma seat, they should give it to CPIML,” Bhattacharya mentioned.
Earlier, Vinod Singh, son of assassinated three-times MLA Mahendra Singh and present legislator from Bagodar assembly constituency said in his speech that, even after winning the Koderma seat 7 times, BJP did not develop Koderma.
Singh said, “Faces might have changed, but BJP won from Koderma for 35 years. But you can see what work they have done in the area.”
He also reminded that for common people there is no train from Koderma, but for the January 22 Ram Temple Inauguration), the same party which could not give trains to the people here is boasting to run many trains.
Women not safe under BJP rule
In his speech, Bhattacharya also highlighted BJP leaders’ several crimes against women.
“In 2014, BJP had given the slogan, “Bahut Hua Nari Pe Var, Abki Baar Modi Sarkar”. But during BJP rule we have seen that women have to face the worst of atrocities,” he said.
And continued, “In the constituency of Narendra Modi, inside the BHU-IIT campus, a B-Tech student was raped and the accused was a BJP IT cell member. Women wrestlers, who bring medals for the country, were sexually harassed by the BJP minister. Rapes allegations were made against BJP MP and MLAs.”
“Women are not safe even in the PM’s constituency,” said the CPIML leader.
“You will see that BJP leaders are involved in atrocities against women, Dalits, tribals and minority community people.”
BJP is doing personal work, ignoring public work
Bhattacharya mentioned that the responsibility of a government remains to provide employment, education and health. Railways and buses should function well, this is the work of a government, but now the BJP is mixing it with religion.
He said, “Jo Sarkari Tha, Uska Nizikarn Kar Rahe, Aur Jo Nizi Tha Uska Sarkarikaran Ho Raha (the things which belong to the public are being privatized and the works which were personal are being done by the government)”
As PM Narendra Modi to inaugurate Ram Mandir on January 22, Bhattacharya reminded, “Never it has been the work of a government to build a temple. It is a matter of faith and is done by people itself. Four Sankaracharyas (top priests) are saying Ram Temple’s inauguration is not being done according to Shastras (religious books). The Ram Temple construction is also not completed. So why is there so much hurry? Because BJP has to garner votes from it and do politics over it.”
The country is not being run by the Constitution
Bhattacharya also said, “Baba Saheb (Bhimrao Ambedkar) had said that if the Constitution goes into the hands of corrupt people, they will ruin it.”
And mentioned, “Aisa Lag Raha, Desh Sanvidhan Se Nahi, Manusmirti Se Chal Raha (Now it seems the country is not being governe by the Constitution but by Manusmirti).”
CPIML general secretary also announced that their party is starting a Jan Sagharsh Yatra from January 16 to 30th—From the martyr day of Mahendra Singh to Mahatma Gandhi.
The Gram Sabha is defunct and common people have no rights to public properties
While Bagodar MLA said, “Modi government has come by selling dreams, but this government is functioning on autocracy.”
“Mahendra Singh had formed Gram Sabhas. Gram Sabhas helped evict forests, government schools, hospitals, and lands from the clutches of goons, and mafias. But this government has made gram sabha defunct.
The legislator pointed out, “Neither you nor Gram Sabha can mine sand from rivers. You can preserve forests and sand or any natural resources but you have no authority on it. You have to take permission from the people sitting in Delhi.”
“Common men have no rights left on public properties, but it is being sold out to big houses, whether it is coal, rail and airports all being sold out to Ambanis and Adanis,” Singh added.
